Qualifications

• Experience with commercial and residential construction

• Able to build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings and spaces using raw materials or pre-constructed items.

• Ability to read floor plans, architectural and engineered drawings, and sketches and to fully grasp building and code requirements

• Accuracy taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed for a project.

• Skilled in use of all tools necessary to cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements.

• Skills needed to lay or install flooring, roofing, drywall, cabinets, doors, and windows ensuring they are level, plumb, and installed with minimal waste

• Expert eye for quality craftsmanship and quality

• Must have your own hand tools and reliable, consistent transportation

• OSHA 10 (or higher) and RRP Certification a plus

Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled, reliable Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. Construction Project Manager will collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and Supervisors in planning, budgeting, allocating resources, and providing timely completion of the project. You will also ensure that the project is completed within the set budget and is within the scope. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting owner and job supervisors along with following all site health and safety regulations. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project

• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements alongside RGC ownership.

• Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate city, county, and state authorities.

• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.

• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.

• Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.

• Source contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities

• Supervise the work of laborers, subcontractors, etc. and give them guidance when needed.

• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.

• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as construction project manager with experience in commercial construction.

• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, methods, and project management principles.

• Familiarity with quality assurance and health and safety standards.

• Good knowledge of AIA contracts and Pay Applications.

• Familiarity with construction/ project management software.

• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• A team player with leadership abilities.

• BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field.

• PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
